  • The proposed Doornkop development site is located approximately 18 kms outside the town of Middleburg
  • The site is strategically placed along the N11 and is opposite the formal Doornkop township
  • The development site mandate is for 200 hectares of ground to be developed.
  • A comprehensive market study has been undertaken and completed for the proposed 200 hectares.
  • 200 hectares will deliver 2400 housing units alongside commercial, light industrial and recreational facilities.

       First phase development has been set down at 37/40 hectares 

 

       This would entail the construction of:

  • A shopping centre compliment of 5000-8000 square metres GLA on a site of 15000 square meters
  • A commercial node accompanying alongside with the establishment of mini and maxi warehousing/ storage units

Mini factories and light industrial units

We have engaged with the council and respective ward councillor in the area and an information session completed with the residents of the local Doornkop community at the community hall. The Proposed township application has been submitted to the Development council already. We await comments from council.

A Full Development Team

A full development team with professionals are in place and appointed.

An extensive mixed used commercial study has been undertaken and completed by Demacon marketing.

The report supports the proposal with identified demand for progressive growth with the establishment of the township.

At current leasable in the area is a round R65 square for commercial letting space and R75/80 square meter for retail space.

Engagements and discussions have been conducted with the major banks showing interest in providing credit facilities for new bonds to homeowners.

The Middleburg municipality is one of the fasten expanding municipalities in the country with limited housing for gap market housing programmes in place.
